How to import a presentation
This
feature allows you to import a presentation created by using other
presentation tools into Zoho Show.
Once you import a favorite slide
show, you can jazz it up using Zoho Show.
-
Log in to Zoho Show
-
Click on the Import link in the top nav or the
button on the home page.
-
Use the radio buttons to indicate if the presentation that you wish to import is a local file or from the Internet.

-
Enter the name, description and tags for the presentation.
-
Click on the Import button.
Now, it’s all yours to play with !
It says that the show was imported successfully, however it actually was not!
The conversion is not working.
Our sincere apologies. Kindly email your Zoho Id, presentation name that didn't get imported to support(at)zohoshow(dot)com. Our support team will help solve the issues for you.
It says that i have to import a real file.......?
Sarah : Can you tell us what's the file type that you tried to import? Zoho Show supports importing ppt, pps, odp & sxi files.
It would be nice if you allowed importing pdf files. my presentations usually exceed the file size limit when uploaded as ppt. but the pdf versions are very lean.
I imported a single slide from powerpoint. The basic words and shapes are there, but the background is missing, as well as the animation. The words are supposed to fade in / wipe. They are just pink on a plain white background. How to I import a slide, intact? Thank you, Michele
I tried to import a local .pps and then the .ppt file, but I was not successful at all. Background appeared only in the first of 8 slides and no text was imported...
youre site is not working properly. i uploaded a simple presentation. it keeps in failing. sadly, its a final exam for our computer class.
i CAN'T MAKE IT WORK, EITHER.
So this site is too good to be true...my presentations failed to import also. And I am writing this comment 6 months after you all experinced the same frustration.
Hi sarakrosch,
We understand your frustration regarding import. Please excuse us for the inconvenience.
Yes, we acknowledge that certain PowerPoint files fail to import in Zoho Show. If the PowerPoint file is not confidential, can you share it with us (support at zohoshow dot com) ? We'll look into the discrepancy and will try to fix it in one of our upcoming updates.
I also want to bring to your attention that import process is incremental. Literally, there are too many different formats in PowerPoint and we are finding out each and every issue and fixing it as and when it arises. Based on feedback mails from customers like you, we are finding out bugs and constantly improving it. I sincerely believe we'll be able to provide a solution to your problem if you can share your Power Point file.
We hope we'll be able to achieve better quality in terms of import very soon.
Thanks,
Vijay.
PS: I have also sent a personal mail to you. Please do get back with the PowerPoint file if possible.
Hi,
I have just tried to import a powerpoint presentation from my libarary into Zoho show.
The import appeared to be satisfactory and when I open the slideshow, the slides and images are all present and look great. Unfortunately the text is missing!
Please advise.
I think that Zoho is a great idea but if it is unreliable, I cannot use it for business purposes, which would be a great shame. It may be simple to solve.
I am using Windows 7 and Internet Explorer 8.
Many thanks
David
Hi titchi707,
We have recently fixed an issue of missing Text content while Importing presentations saved through Google Docs. The issue will be resolved in our upcoming update, scheduled in a weeks time.
If the presentation is not saved through Google Docs, and you still face this issue, kindly mail us the document [if its not confidential] to support@zohoshow.com (support at zohoshow dot com). We will analyze the case and provide the fix asap.
