Inserting Text
Of
course, your presentation requires some text to go with it. When you
choose a slide, by default, text boxes are available in certain slides.
However, if you wish to introduce more text or have chosen a blank
slide and wish to introduce some text, then here’s what you need to do:
-
Right click on the current slide and click on the Add text option. Alternatively, click on the
Text button on the toolbar to introduce text.
-
If you would like specific types of text, click on the arrow
beside the text button on the toolbar. You can choose to insert
-
Title box 1
-
Sub-title box
-
Title box 2
-
Text box
-
Bullet box
-
You can also choose the font style and size
by using the respective drop down menu from the toolbar.
-
Want to make a point? Select the respective text and choose from
Bold,
Italics or
to simply underline it. Alternately, you can use the following shortcut keys:
-
Ctrl + U: Underlines the selected text
-
Ctrl + B: Makes the selected text bold
-
Ctrl + I: Applies italics to the selected text
-
Or say it with colors - use
text colors or
colored highlights!
-
Or align the text. Select the text and click the respective button on the tool bar :
-
- Left align
-
- Center align
-
- Right align
-
- Align text on both the left and right margins
-
You can also spruce up large bits of text by using indents, bullets or/and numbers :
-
- Decrease indent level
-
- Increase indent level
-
- Introduce bullets. Use the arrow beside to view some cool bullet styles.
-
- Introduce numbers. Use the arrow beside to view numbering options.
That should take care of all your text requirements.
